My original Store has been my apartment for the last 20 months. However, one problem keeps returning to haunt me. People wanted to buy my products. They would ask me where my shop is so that they can select and buy the desserts. They preferred to buy from a store rather than come to an apartment. Although I did get many orders throughout this period despite this shortcoming, I felt that if I were to make a headway in this business and take the next step forward, then I HAVE TO open my First Store away from my apartment offering for sale the FULL RANGE of items.
I have set my sights on a government owned commercial space close to my home. It is also close to the main road, and commercial enterprises. This would make it easier for me to keep the place open initially from 3 p.m. to 10.30 p.m and later on depending on demand extend the opening hours from 10.a.m to 11 p.m.
I have already purchased small kitchen equipments with my funds. I’m also able to procure limited kitchen items from the credit available in my credit card. However, not everything can be funded by myself alone. I do not have personal assets to secure a bank loan, As such after pondering over this for over a year I have decided to come to you requesting for assistance to open my first Dessert Store. Your funds will help me in financing the following:
• Chiller Fridges to store ready made large sized (500g) desserts
• Cold Display Units / Serve-overs to display the full range of items on sale
• Cash Register(s)
• Furniture for the Store Front
• Fittings for the Kitchen
• Industrial Kitchen Equipments
• Induction Cooker / Stoves
• Fireproofing and soundproofing of the Store
• Air Conditioning and
• Other costs related to maintenance of the Store (including Emergency Generator)

Sri Lanka is currently facing a critical situation at the moment. However, this is the time when people need others to rally and support one another. I have received much moral support from friends in social media and I’m hoping you will come round to help me, by being my back bone, so that I can fearlessly carryout the business, undertake new ranges and expand my potential, making your donations worthwhile and the food enjoyable.
To make this project a success I need Rs. 3.5 Million. In the event this amount is not completely reached, I have decided that items required will be scaled down to meet the amount received. However, there will be no reduction in the quality of food produced.

Fazi’s Food Products was officially launched on 31st May 2020. Prior to that, its owner i.e. myself suffered a series of accidents culminating in leaving a full time job and giving up a lucrative teaching engagement as an IELTS lecturer. I also am allergic to many food, as such I have to consume vegetarian food quite often due to ill health and also during treatment. I found that options for vegetarian desserts were limited to ice creams, yoghurts/ curds and jellies.
I envied others who had numerous options to choose. I then realized that this might be the fate of others who are Vegetarian by choice, by religious edict, or for medical reasons. So I understood that if things are to change for me, I had to be the change.
I began considering what options that I have. How I can go about it. I disliked baking, because I could not see the final product immediately and I don’t like waiting around endlessly to see the outcome. It then dawned on me that I was always good at making Biscuit Pudding and utterly enjoyed making them. Although there are Biscuit Puddings available in the market, they are either not entirely vegetarian or they are too sweet or too salty and limited in range. None of which were to my liking. After being encouraged by family and friends, I decided to start my own Biscuit Pudding Business.
I initially began my business in March 2020 – during the first Lock down, by promoting the business via Whatsapp groups. At the same time, I set about experimenting and testing new flavours and varieties of biscuit pudding. My very supportive neighbours became my food tasters who gave me critical feedback that helped me formulate the correct proportions and maintain quality. My main aim was to ensure that my puddings were made with No Artificial Colourings, No Artificial Flavourings, No Preservatives and No Additives.
My business was officially launched on Social Media via Facebook on 31st May 2020 with a competition to name a new range of Biscuit Puddings. Since then, I have had many naming competitions and generous Giveaways to commemorate Mother’s day, Anniversary and my Birthday. During this 20 month period I have introduced 5 ranges of Biscuit Puddings namely – Classic (only Butter cream), Regular (Chocolate), Melt In (Condensed Milk & Cream), Summer Secret (Vegan) and Lo-Cal (Sugar Free); One range of No-Bake Cakes, One range of Fruit Jellies and One range of Fruit Spreads and Marmalades.
