We are a Sri Lankan crowdfunding platform that promotes projects/ideas of individuals, entrepreneurs, groups and entities, and raises public awareness to help fund them!




Roshaan Ranasinghe is the founder of Tribefunds. He has over a decade of experience in investment research and financial advisory services including business valuations, company amalgamations, company restructuring, formulating business plans and information memorandums as well as performing industry analysis.

Roshaan started his career at PwC, UK as a chartered accountant in the audit and business advisory services division. He then worked with British Telecom, UK prior to returning to Sri Lanka in late 2003. After working in treasury operations at National Development Bank, a leading local bank, he entered the world of investment research upon joining Amba Research in 2005. He co-founded Gradient Alliance in 2008 to provide much-needed business and corporate finance services to the local market. He is a graduate in Finance from the University of Aston, UK and has completed all stages of CFA and CIMA.

Kishan has worked extensively in Capital Markets, Venture Capital and Corporate Finance in Sri Lanka with stints in Costa Rica and Australia. He is remarkably familiar with the funding and investment landscape in Sri Lanka and has a good understanding of the challenges faced by the small and medium entrepreneurs against the expectations of traditional methods of financing. He is an MBA from Deakin University, and an ACMA (CIMA)




Ishani has a broad range of experience, with a particular focus on intellectual property and commercial contracts, which enables her to assist companies to tackle legal issues they encounter in their business dealings both locally and in an international context. Her focus in recent years has been on assisting startups and SMEs to gain a better understanding of legal issues unique to their businesses. She has a LLM from Columbia University (New York), LL.B. from University of Western Ontario (Canada) and B.A. from York University (Canada).




The Nucleus Foundation (NF) is a non-profit association working in development cooperation providing a range of services to partner agencies throughout the region. These solutions range from planning and executing projects, conceptualising and conducting training programmes, designing and carrying out research and monitoring and evaluation services. The Foundation was set up as the exit strategy of two longstanding German Development Cooperation (GTZ) projects under a Memorandum of Understanding with the former Ministry of Nation building and Estate Infrastructure Development and has been in operation since 2007.
