“Donation Request for Stationary Packs to Underprivileged Students”

We, "YMMA Mannar" are a non-profit social welfare organization that, with the help of generous donors like you, has been greatly serving the community by supporting empowerment in various ways such as the poor, widows, orphans, and the elderly. Stationery is the basic requirement for learning, without it, students is incapable of writing down the notes, drawing as well as taking tests. Thus, Stationary is a part of inseparable and essential part of students’ life.

In connection with the above, we receive numerous requests from the stable staff and the people of the poor families who have been greatly affected by the epidemics that have caused job losses, wage cuts, and unbearable increases in the cost of living. Currently most of them are suffering from not being able to meet their minimum basic needs.

“A person can support this program either by giving any stationery material or a small amount of that particular material which he wants to donate.”

All Ceylon YMMA Conference primarily is a Youth and Youth serving Community based Organization (CBO), founded on the 30 April 1950 with seventeen YMMA Branches coming under one umbrella under the distinguished Leadership of Marhoom Al-Haj Dr. A. M. A. Azeez (Ceylon Civil Service) as Founder National President with Al-Haj Lafir Cassim as the Founder National General Secretary.

We will provide the Stationary very useful and get Education Material output for our beneficiaries. They have no capital or any other income source to establish buy the material. We distribute stationary material free of cost, amongst the kids living in under village as well as less privileged kids studying in government schools. Each year, we organize this year distribution program which includes the above mentioned stationary.

More than 150 kids have benefitted from this back to school program. Every Pack costs of approximately Rs 4000. The stationary Pack suffices their annual requirement.

Sponsors have helped us in this activity of ours. We aim to reach out to maximum students, so that their wish to study is fulfilled and doesn’t get affected because of lack of stationary. Each year we aim to target double the count of the previous year! Stationery is the basic requirement for learning, without it, students are incapable of writing down the notes, drawing as well as taking tests. It is the basic need of any student learning art and crafts, without it, students’ creativity will be restricted.

We hope to have the funding in place by 30th January for a February 02 release.
