Inspire Women’s Football Club was established to provide young women and girls in Sri Lanka a platform to learn, grow, and compete. We have acquired the services of Former Sri Lanka National team captain, Mr. Mohamed Fazal as our Head Coach for the Women’s team project.

We need support to cover costs for Ground Reservations, Coaching Salaries and Player Salaries. Your contribution creates real impact. At a time when resources and opportunities for women athletes are extremely limited, our mission is to unlock pathways for female footballers through structured training, competition exposure, and life-changing mentoring.

Most of our players come from ordinary families with extraordinary passion. Many do not have access to proper gear, training facilities, nutrition, or financial support. Despite these challenges, they show up every week with dedication and discipline.

Inspire Women’s Football Club is part of Inspire Football Academy, a youth-focused sports development program dedicated to giving opportunities to children and young adults across different communities.

Our academy trains 50+ young players weekly and conducts both paid and free-of-charge sessions to ensure football is accessible to all. Our women’s program was created to fill a major gap in Sri Lanka. the lack of structured pathways for female footballers.

We believe women deserve equal access to sport, growth, and leadership. Our aim is to:

• Develop young women into competitive footballers
• Support players to reach district, club, and national level
• Promote discipline, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles
• Uplift girls from under-resourced communities
• Increase participation of women in Lankan football

Our coaches, staff, and volunteers work tirelessly to create a safe, empowering environment for our players. With your support, we can expand our reach and create lasting impact through sport.


Most of the expenses are being covered fully through us and we would kindly like to seek your help for below.

Total Target: LKR 2,000,000 (For the upcoming year)

- Ground rental – LKR 100,000 (Per year)
- Coaching – LKR 300,000 (Per year)
- Player salaries/allowance – LKR 1,600,000 (Per year)




Week 01–02:
Launch fundraising campaign, organizing an open trial for players to come and try out

Week 03 – 06:
Training block 1: core skills, fitness, tactical sessions

Week 07 – 09:
Match preparation, friendly games, kit distribution

Week 10 – 12:
Tournament participation, performance tracking, player evaluations

I am Shanika Lakmali, the co-owner of Inspire Football Academy. I’ve been involved in football operations, academy management, and youth development for several years and currently support multiple football initiatives in Sri Lanka.

Our coaching team consists of certified, experienced coaches dedicated to building disciplined, confident, and technically strong female footballers who have represented Sri Lanka National Women’s team.
